Experimenting with side lighting and higher ISOs

The sun finally came out briefly late in the day.  The low side light emphasises the texture of the wood.

Tricky lighting with shaded wood and strong side sunlight through the trees.  Late Autumn afternoon gives long shadows.

    The top photo caught my eye straight away!
    Lovely light - and I love the way the sun catches the top of the stump and a couple of the surrounding areas emphasising the colour against the grey of the log.
